Splicing and knotwork

I first learnt to splice while I was working at Arthur Beale, a historic chandlery on London's Shaftesbury Avenue where you never knew what kind of weird and wonderful requests might walk in the door.

I've spliced and knotted 3 strand, 4 strand, 8 plait, 12 plait, double braid and clock ropes to make everything from handrails to campervan fittings to museum pieces.

My standard services include eye splicing, fender making, continuous loops, seizing and whipping, and decorative knots such as manrope or star knots.
